Dr. Fabio Favata

Dr. Fabio Favata is currently working as consultant in the field of space science for a number of companies, space agencies and research institutions. He retired in 2022 from the European Space Agency (ESA) after a 35 years career, where he was first an astrophysicist doing active research and then a manager coordinating the scientific program of ESA and its international relations. He is born in Palermo (Italy) and holds a degree in physics. During his research career he published more than 150 refereed papers, exploring in particular energetic events in young stars. He also holds a visiting professorship at Imperial College in London.
