I am Dr. Nada Raddaoui, a passionate scientist, entrepreneur, and advocate for women's rights. With a strong academic background, I had the honor of being the first Tunisian woman to earn a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Munich. My career has been dedicated to advancing research in nucleic acid-based diagnostics and therapies, bridging academia, health sciences, and biotechnology with the goal of transforming patient outcomes and driving medical innovation.
Currently, I lead the Nucleic Acid-Based Therapies Division at the University of Munich, where I collaborate with both academic and industrial teams to develop cutting-edge solutions in diagnostics and therapies. My journey—from Gafsa, Tunisia, to receiving international recognition such as the Monte-Carlo Woman of the Year Award in 2021—is a testament to the transformative power of science.
I am deeply committed to inspiring the next generation of scientists, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds, and fostering global collaboration for a healthier and more equitable future.
Beyond science, I am actively engaged in education, environmental causes, and women’s rights. I launched the initiative "Lire pour l’Avenir" (Reading for the Future) to build libraries in schools in rural Tunisian villages, believing that true societal change can only come through education.
In addition to my private efforts toward women’s empowerment, I founded Moppex Ecological Facility Management in Munich, a company fully dedicated to the empowerment of migrant women and their integration into the German labor market. This company is proudly 100% female-led and operated.
